Principle of Pressure gauge(1)

2. Detection method and operating principle of pressure gauge

2.1 Bourdon tube or “C” tube

The measuring and sensing part consists of metal tubes of various cross-sections in the form of "C". One side is fixed and connected to the pressure circuit. The other is sealed and can move freely. When pressure is applied to the tube, the free movement is directed outward. (Measurement range: about 400 mbar… 60 bar) * Invented E. Bourdon in 1849

2.2 Capsule Tubes

The measuring and sensing part consists of a cylindrical wave pattern on two thin diaphragms welded with a laser. Thus, the capsule is in the form of a depression and is slightly deformed by the change in pressure. It is suitable for measuring very low pressure. (Measurement range: 0… 600 mbar)
