Thermometer-Bimetal

Thermometers are indicators of the thermal state of the same material or body. This indicates the kinetic energy contained in the substance molecule. Temperature transfer from one body to the other (eg process medium, temperature sensor) requires close physical contact between the two bodies to achieve heat balance. Traditional temperature measurements are based on the properties of a material to change its volume in proportion to its physical form or applied temperature.?

1. Bimetal Thermometers
1.1 Principle
?
When a metal senses a change in temperature, its length is deformed. These physical properties were used and developed to make temperature sensitive bimetal measuring devices. Temperature measurements are made by a bimetal system in the temperature sensor. The bimetal consists of two inseparably joined metal pieces. Either metal is characterized by having a different coefficient of thermal expansion than the other. This creates a strip to achieve a specific curve proportional to the temperature change motion. Actual bimetallic systems consist of bimetallic strips on one side that are damaged by spirals or spirals, such as the temperature at which the size and requirements of the sensor are specified. That is, the bimetallic sensors are made of two coils twisted together and their ends are welded. I chose one with a very different coefficient of thermal expansion, both of which would generate a torque at the end of the freely moving side as the temperature changes. Some temperature change motions are affected in the same way as for rotating the bimetallic axis, which is indicated by the pointer on the dial scale. Bimetal thermometers have an accuracy according to Calss 1 and 2 of DIN 16203… Temperature measurements up to 600 ° C are possible.

1.2 Applications

Bimetal thermometers designed for standard industrial use are often used for the following reasons:

-Easy to install and use

-Much stronger than glass thermometer

-No power supply required

-Has a very wide temperature range.
