The EDN.730 series pressure transmitter
features a robust stainless steel housing, specifically designed to
withstand corrosive environments such as those involving acids or toxic
gases. Its high resistance to corrosion and external intrusion makes it ideal
for demanding applications in the food & beverage, medical,
pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries.
The pressure sensor applied in this series is a piezoresistive
silicon sensor with a gold-plated diaphragm made of stainless steel.
This sensor has been specially developed for measuring liquid and gaseous
hydrogen pressure, where hydrogen embrittlement is a known issue.
Due to hydrogen's ability to permeate metal lattice structures at the atomic
level, the use of a gold-plated diaphragm is essential for reliable and
safe hydrogen measurement.
The EDN.730 series offers excellent accuracy
and long-term stability, utilizing the latest electronic components and
advanced PCB chip design to ensure maximum precision and durability. The
internal electronics responsible for signal amplification have been engineered
to meet the most stringent standards in noise immunity, surge protection,
insulation, and burst resistance. Each unit undergoes a 100% quality
control process to guarantee stable and accurate analog and digital
outputs.
Standard features of the EDN.730 include:
- RS485 digital communication
- 2-channel relay/switch outputs for flexible control integration
During development, the EDN.730 was benchmarked
against leading domestic and international products, undergoing over 10
types of industrial performance and durability tests. It has also passed high-level
EMC and EMI testing, confirming superior resistance to harsh industrial
conditions such as:
- High
temperatures
- Electrical
noise
- Burst
signals and surges
This makes the EDN.730 a truly industrial-grade
transmitter, suitable for a wide range of critical hydrogen-related and
general industrial applications, including:
● Hydrogen refueling stations
● Hydrogen transportation trailers
● Hydrogen storage facilities
● Shipbuilding – hydrogen transport & storage
● Hydrogen production, refining, and chemical plants
Additionally, explosion-proof certification
with rating Ex d IIC T4 is currently under review by KOSHA (Korea
Occupational Safety and Health Agency). The certification is expected to be
granted by mid-August 2025, following successful testing and inspection.
